Wrong size primer pocket on one LC .308?

Bought 500 rounds of once-fired LC 7.62x51 brass. Decapped them with a decapping die, then was using my RCBS Trim Mate to remove the crimp. Since I have a primer pocket uniformer on there as well I was also running them across that, even though most of the time it did nothing. Then the uniformer really dug into one case:

Both have had the crimp removed.

Can't say I've ever encountered something like this before.

On a possibly related note, when depriming I broke a decapping pin, which I very rarely do. Makes me wonder if it was this one and a full size primer was crammed into the hole. RNGR3

The one on the right is very unusual for sure. I wonder if a batch may have been produced using small primers for some reason.
I have question about the one on the left. You say it has been on the uniformer. Just wondering how you are setting the depth? I have uniformed many k of brass and I can't ever remember one not removing all the carbon.

Sorry - pulled that one out of the wrong pile. I'll fix my post.ICONREDFAC

I think that so called small primer pockets were mfg. at one time for the 308 as well as other cartridges. Friend searched for months at one time to come up with small primer pockets in 7mm/08 and finally found a source for them. Reason given, was at the time the small primer pockets gave a more uniform burn than the large rifle primers??? I just kept shooting my ordinary brass with large primer pockets, but perhaps there is some justification to the idea?? You may have ended up with some of those.
