Bought 500 rounds of once-fired LC 7.62x51 brass. Decapped them with a decapping die, then was using my RCBS Trim Mate to remove the crimp. Since I have a primer pocket uniformer on there as well I was also running them across that, even though most of the time it did nothing. Then the uniformer really dug into one case:
Both have had the crimp removed.
Can't say I've ever encountered something like this before.
On a possibly related note, when depriming I broke a decapping pin, which I very rarely do. Makes me wonder if it was this one and a full size primer was crammed into the hole. RNGR3
