Just watched "The Malta Story" on Amazon. Very well done with Alec Guinness, a couple of pretty ladies, and lots of Spitfires, even though they weren't all MK Vs. Plenty of war footage of the actual battle. Very well made and enjoyable without the excessive melodrama typical of the period.
OOPS! Wrong Forum. Admin, please move to where this belongs.

Mysteries at the Museum, Season 13, Episode 5. Seems some M1A/M14s were cast to play the roles of M1 Garands. They weren't doing a great job considering they had 20 round magazines and the brown plastic handguards.

It was a story about a paratrooper canine during WWII. I glanced at the TV and the handguard caught my eye. Then I did a double take and rewound the show a bit and went on to roll my eyes when I further saw the magazine, etc. I'm pretty sure it was a WWII story. I couldn't watch anymore after that.

Didn't see it in the list, apologies if I missed it.

The TV show Leverage. Season five, episode nine. The Rundown Job. The sniper at about the 8 minute mark of the episode is using a "modernized" M14. Well, M1A - no full auto switch/post. Just a hole in the stock.

In episode 4 of “Waco: The Aftermath,” it’s 1987 and David Koresh is in a hardware store whereupon he decides to buy some rifles. “We’ll take five of the Rugers…” as he plops down a Mini-14 with the checkout clerk. Very next scene, five guys can be seen each sporting an M14-style rifle (presumably M1A’s).

Just watched a Mel Gibson movie, Hot Seat, released in 2022. The SWAT sniper has an M14. Funny looking thing with no front sight or flash suppressor. Just a scope on it.

Oh, he missed, too. And the bullet flying through the air at high rpm had no rifling marks on it. Amazing.
