Is Winchester M80 the equivalent to LC M80 ball ammo?
I ask because my local Walmart had a dozen boxes on the usually empty shelves @ $24.50/box. Some years ago I had a case of LC that was remarkably accurate. I recall the surprise of some that I was able to produce such good targets using that LC. I'm an average shot at best. That particular lot of LC shot nearly moa, like it was mislabeled Match ammo. I couldn't get myself to pay $25/box for the Walmart Win, unless it shoots like FGMM or the long gone magic LC.

$25.box is too rich for my blood... but you takes what you can gets these days.

Winchester M80 is the new version of Federal's Lake City M80... Winchester took over the Lake City plant 2 years ago, from Federal./ATK.

Ammo is hard to come by , $ 24 a box is hard to swallow , but if its available , its not much more then I paid for it a while back

here are the Chronograph results from my two Rifles

To me it shot pretty good , of course its not Match ammo ,but it has good Brass , labeled "LR" .

but remember it being about the least accurate of any 7.62x51 I'd used, including surplus.
Just remember... any M80 ammos is going to be MOBC (Minute of Body Cavity) accurate, that's what it's intended for. Yes, you may have unearthed a lot that was accurate in your rifle, but that is the exception, not the rule. That isn't to say M80 can't be accurate... but, again, the stars really have to align.

That stuff has horrible accuracy. Shot those along with federal xm80c out of a precision rifle and man were the groups horrible. There's plenty of ammo out there but the prices are heavy, but don't think that'll change for a while if at all.
