SOCOM 16 Rear Sight Replacement

I have an M1A Tanker and I want to replace the CQB aperture with a Standard aperture. The current sight aperture is too large for precisely engaging targets past 100m, and I want to replace it with a smaller aperture. I'm not interested in the hooded NM, just the standard. I understand I can just replace the aperture, or do I need to change out the whole sight assembly? I will also be replacing the thick-bladed front sight post as well.

Just the aperture.

RE the front site, keep in mind that there is a height difference in sights of standard 22inch gi sites and the socom site.

I think I have a non hooded nm aperture laying around that I do not have use for. If I can find it and you can send a buck or so for postage I can send it your way.

Springfield also has non “battle site” aka a dinner fork attached to your site post at different heights if you call and ask.

looking at the prices, lrb tall front site and new aperture should do the job at a bargain rate for quality parts.

I did what they’re talking about with SEI gas lock and standard aperture with taller front post. Did wonders for the rifle
