Ruger American Predator vs Tikka T3X

Looking to get a bolt action rifle, predominantly for deer hunting.
My main concerns/needs was a lightweight body with a shorter barrel as I'd mostly be still hunting/stalking.

After reading reviews I was pretty set with the T3X, held and played around with one in multiple stores and it felt great. Very smooth bolt action and all in all, very slick.
As I was walking out of the last LGS I visited, I noticed a olive green bolt action on the rack (anything camo-colorist catches my eye) and asked to see it.
Ended up being a Ruger American Predator.
Finish was a little rougher compared to the Tikka, bolt wasn't quite as smooth but still very comfortable fit wise.
The kicker? It's roughly $300 less than the Tikka.

Reading articles and reviews, the Predator seems to have a pretty good rep. Only knock being the somewhat cheapy stock. One guy even managed to use it as a budget long distance shooter past 1000 yards.
What I can't seem to find is a direct comparison between the Predator and the T3X. I found some older comparisons between a regular Ruger American and the older T3 but that's about it.

TL;DR buying rifle, is Tikka T3X really worth buying over Ruger American Predator for an additional $300?

Misc. details:
.308 caliber
scope will be Leupold VX-1 3-9x40 regardless of rifle (as in not taking savings and dumping it into an upgrade on something else)

Thanks all.
