I'm just getting into learning about the M1a's / M14's so please "bare" with me. If my newly aquired norinco m14 or any other m1a/m14 if the bolt closes on the go gauge headspace and the bolt won't close on the no-go headspace gauge this tells me that my chamber is perfect.
Now for how many rounds will my headspace stay this way?
What really wears the most, the first to change the headspace?
Is it the chamber thats being worn?
Or the bolt?
Or the receiver?
Or the combination of the receiver and bolt thats causes the headspace to change?
Sorry for the stupid questions, is there a good book with all this info in it or a dvd i can buy? Thanks; Bill
