the one i have my eye on is $1200 , one mag , no mount , no optic , as new condition , Eotech will add a good bit , think SOCOM 16 are $1800 new

 

you could argue that the mags, if checkmate or springfield COULD be worth about 200-280 bucks.

 

I'm not sure if they are Springfield or GI mags. I think the eotech is a 512.

 

Springfield mags to my knowledge are made by checkmate, so those are still good quality.

 

Bare used rifle in good shape goes for $1200-1500 lately. With this kit, fair all in is $1800-$2k.

 

Socom 16 are $1200 and not selling in my area. It might be a regional thing on this model rifle but they are not the hot button M1A on Va. Gun Trader. No skin in the game slinging this about the Socom...I own two.

 

M1a's are not selling here either.

 

Check on a bare NIB SOCOMs online at three different stores to get an idea of the asking price. Then ask yourself how bad to do want it. If you're looking for a deal, that SOCOM may be a deal to someone else and will snag it before you do.

 

looks like my estimate on new was low , i see them on Springfield site $2100 -$2500

 

I paid $1200 for this one last fall.


I bought it off Gunsinternational with a listed price of $1100.

Shipped to me with my local FFL fee total cost was 1200 and some change.

Came with the the Match Dot “Ultra Dot” red dot scope, 3 20 round mags and the original Springfield box and has the nicest trigger I’ve ever felt on an M1A.

I needed another SOCOM like I needed another butthole but if someone’s practically giving it away I’m a buyer.

 

Good luck on your search, I’d say if you’re not in the market for a bunch of mags and a holosun there might be a much better deal that you can just get the socom. All those extras could add an extra 500-800bucks.

 

Thanks. I don't need any more mags but I can always store or sell them. The eotech is an older one but I would probably keep it on the gun.

If I could get the gun for 1200-1500 I might go for it.

 

Socoms are up for $1300-$1500 here in Idaho, but don't seem to be selling.
