I've seen these in person but didn't get a chance to really look them over. I'm glad to see a more in depth overview of it though. I'm surprised that there isn't more info out there about this thing. Thanks for putting this out!
Great walk through and review, Tony! I forgot about the alignment bedding that Jon did on it. Too bad you couldn't do a live-fire comparison to your other stocks! I'll have to do one one of these days.
The side-by-side comparison to a standard USGI fiberglass stock is telling. Nice pictures on the updates they've made.
We just released GEN II LW Mod-Fib stocks this week. I'll be posting some pictures later. We have developed an insert that is permanently bonded to the stock channel and increases rigidity. We've also added an aluminum channel in the rear to reinforce and fill in the selector.
Cool video, Tony! As usual. It was interesting to see the metal support in the cutout area, that's nice. I got tired of the misc. USGI stocks I've had over the years cracking around the repair. Hard to believe it is almost 1 Lb more than a USGI stock too, they're really beefing these things up! I've really been wanting one.

Thanks for the review Tony. I've actually got one coming from a trade soon hopefully. It's a gen 2 like that one but without the rail. I want to add that rail though. Does it look like there is room to add it as an after thought?
May need minor fitting to your rifle. Usually light filing when firing a any other stock. He does line bedding of you send him your rifle. It centers your rifle perfectly, holds up better than a full bedding job. I'm not going to bed mine though.
AG will be lighter but has to be bedded. Not sure what the ag costs but you have to add a bed job to it. The wolfe is a hair over $400 and doesn't require bedding. It is a heavily reinforced and worked over gi glass stock. Think his website is m14 parts. Com.
Yes sir it's mine. I really like it. I gave up my mcmillan for it. I like it that much. It is a very solid stock. All recesses are filled, reinforced. Stiff as I'll ever need but same bulk as gi glass stock. I had to fit it to my action but that's not too hard. Mine is a polytech so that most likely had something to do with it. I also had to dremel out a notch for the lock cylinder. I could have ground it down on the rifle but then I'd have to either replace it or glue popsicle sticks in the other stock if I change it out.
