Outside of the fact that my mother's family came from the Derry area, my wife was caught up in the Selfridge Bombing in London: Selfridge Bombing
It made for some lively discussion when we were first together, I have to say.

Been watching a good drama based on the 1916 uprising on Netflix. I cant attest to its historical accuracy, but it is well done tv. Its called 'Rebellion'.
Thank you for the heads up. I am eternally fascinated with the Struggles.

When we lived in the north of London (Cricklewood to be exact), I worked at an Irish Folk Records Store. Every other old codger who came in would do an aside and say "I was with the IRA". Good memories of an interesting time in our lives.
