I went with the LT 608 because I didn't want issues with the sage mount fitting my M1A.So far it has been great I can take it on and off and not lose my zero and it doesn't flex.

 

I have the Sage mount & generally like it. The only faults I find are I have to tighten it down extra with the hex screws the throw levers attach to so it's very difficult to use the quick release.
Second, it does not retain zero when removed & re-installed.

 

I hage a Bassett Low Picatinny mount on mine. I had to do some minor modification removing material from two places on the inside of the mount so it would clear the handguard. Otherwise it's been solid and returns almost exactly to zero after removal and reinstallation. I'd recommend it to anyone willing to take a dremel to it to give proper clearance.

 

I've had no problems with the Sage DCSB. It's going on my next build.

 

It has been discussed and all the threads from '08-12 still apply as the mounts have not been changed.

The DCSB is probably the best choice for you. If you can source an LT-608, it's not a bad option either. Side mounts are great if you are willing to buy a new top cover from Sage with the rear rail lugs relieved.

 

I like the Smith Ent. 2005-TS its rock solid and it works great with the ebr stock. I didnt the sage mounts myself so I went the more pricey smith mount. I got mine for about $325 and I still dont regret spending it. It mates with the ebr stock so well you can take the stock off without touching the mount or scope/acog. If you ever plan on using an acog, the rail comes off and its a low pro acog mount.

 

I, too like the LT 608 which I have on one of my EBR's.



Rock solid mount and easily removable with repeatable zero's (quick release throw arms). Only problem is Larue doesn't manufacture it anymore. But they show up for sell from time to time. I highly recommend grabbing one if you find it.

 

LaRue does still make them in small batches,you just have to call them and find out if they have any lrft or the date they're expected.That'a what I did.

 

I had the Larue and the Sage and ended up going back to the Sadlak.

 

Will the dscb have solid stability? Im currently running a backwards AR style scope mount. Also our arms room just kept the side mount on our m14s so they didnt have to mess with the sage dscb mount

I'm a big fan of the Brookfield 3-point style mounts (SEI 2006 or any of the Sadlaks).

That said, they have the small drawback in that you may need to M39-mod your front cover or buy one pre-modified (SAGE sells them).

 

I just saw a guy at the range running a sadlak airborne mount and said he loves it. I think im gonna stick with my set up for awhile before I drop $200+ on a mount when I could be using that $200 for performance parts.
