Are there mounts like the Basset Machine "Picatinny Rail HIGH Scope Mount"?

I have searched everywhere, and called everyone, and blown up bassetts phone (No answer in a week), and their email is shutdown or full and returns any communication.
Their checkout also does not work, errors and sends you back to their page.

I want a high railsystem thats not chinesium junk, holds zero, and you can still use iron sights with the scope on, and does not require attaching to the stripper clip, and tools to take on and off.

It would seem “Used” is all you’re going to get. Your best bet would be to monitor the popular selling and auction sites as they are available occasionally. When you have 50 posts you can get access to the PX too. That being said, I’ve seen several offers to buy recently but no one selling any. Good luck.

Fair enough, appreciate the honest feedback.
I've been watching all of the ones i know of like a hawk, I can't find any side mount scope mounting that is high enough to see the iron sights even with a scope on the gun though (besides Bassett).
The others are all low mounts, and aside form the Sadlak Aluminum, or steel from Springfield/Sadlak/SEI, the mounts are all junk.

I believe all the sadlak involve removing pins, and attaching to the stripper clips.
I have a forward rail system for a red dot, and/or normal scope since they are much longer and have the proper eye relief.

I don't want my gun covered in rails all the time, and I have read that some of these can cause hangups by catching the brass and failing to feed.
I'd vastly prefer a removable system, and thank you for the advice and information.

I found that before, it's only at a little shop called "The Country Shed", but it has to be a rail type mount to fit my Day/Night optics mount.

Thank you very much for the suggestion though.

Edit: ooooooh, they have two, one being a rail!! Alebit a weaver rail, unsure if the Sitemark Wraith scope mount fits a wweaver rail.
Anyone have experience with this mount system?
re-Edit: I am going to contact them tomorrow by phone to see about a custom order, Thanks Anthony, it's a lead at least!

My Vltor Sage Stock adaptor is adjustable up and down, by about 1 Inch, and has a lower profile for cheek weld.
As is now, hanging my optic over the front rail, I have the Re-EBR stock adaptor lowered all of the way down and have proper level for eye relief, it's just too short and causes me to put my face over the reciever almost to see.

(No, i have NOT fired it in this configuration, lol)

From your first post, I’m not clear on your priorities. If it’s utilizing your scope on multiple rifles have you considered going to detachable rings instead? Like Anthony and Condition One said, using the sights through the mount is somewhat impractical with a riser attached or raised. If I had a problem with a rifle, I’d simply set it aside and shoot another, fix the problem on the spot or call it a day.

I don't know why i always configure my guns (that have optics) to allow me to see/use the iron sights, but I do.
I only recently even learned how to use a scope/optic at all ( I am 46 years old), and have an inherent mistrust of them.
But almost all the leases around me in Texas require you to use optics to hunt on their land( if only they knew I am more accurate with iron sites than an optic at 100 yards lol).

I feel much more confident shooting with iron sights, and want it to always be an option, lastly I do not want the rail on my gun at all times.
When i need it for a night hunt I can put it on, and remove it when i do not.
I have read that a lot of these can cause jams and a fialure to feed/eject the brass, so I would prefer them not to be hard mounted.

I see your point and (I am) fast approaching the same decision of just giving up and having a permenant low mount attached to the stripper clip I will hate everytime i see it lol.
Maybe this S&K suggestion anthony gave ( i had found their single scope mount with rings before, not that they made picatinny and weaver rails too)will pan out for me in the end.

Rings won't work with my Day/Night optic, and Sadlak attaches to the stripper clip, can't easily be removed.

If it's a last ditch effort I'll go that route, not that they have them in stock either, all the quality aluminum mounts are out of stock.

Oh, I just realized what oyu meant by QD rings, I ordered a sling and some rings from SKD tactical.
Got the slingster and 2 Vltor QD rings.

The Ewings scope mount attaches to the rifle exactly the same way that a Bassett does. It is a very simple mount. But, they are steel, so are heavier than a Bassett. There were two models. One with 3 sets of holes vertically, and one with 4. This allows for changing the scope height, but it won’t help if the scope has a large bell. Unfortunately, Ewings are no longer made. I found 2 on EBay. 1 with 3 holes, which I got, and 1 with 4.

I'll add it to my list of what tolook for, thank you.

What blows my mind is noone produces any of these anymore, even though this is a very popular platform, everyone has switche dot making AR junk only smh.

I won't be keeping the optic on the gun at all times, just when i go out at night.
Thats why the bassett since it can be removed, and put back and hold 0 pretty well.

My Vltor buttplate adjusts up and down, and in and out, and as is now I have perfect heigth on the scope but it's just too far forward for comfortable eye relief.

I will send pics when the builds completed and show it.

The best is probably the original arms 18 mount. It’s just two small rail sections that don’t obscure the ejection port. You have to replace the clip guide but its like the mount isn’t there at all, and it’s low enough the irons are usable just keep scope on quick release rings - sadly they’re not being made anymore
