Mech-Tec upper assembly using a Glock or 1911 IS NOT ILLEGAL.

Point of all this is Laws are Laws...Rules are unconstitutional and invalid.

Wanna change, Pass A Law
Yes, that's correct. Although much more pistol like than the truncated rifles they are complaining about.

I'm talking about the vintage pistol stocks. The Mech-Tec is legal, as it again operates around the rules. These are clearly work arounds, I don't understand how it's even debatable.

I don't have a horse in the race, I don't care if they get banned or not. I just find it odd how staunchly they are defended, but how obviously they work against the spirit of the rule.

Actually it has nothing to do with rules. Rules mean nothing. Government agencies can't make rules. It's not in their power. The ones sidestepping are the career bureaucrats.

Laws mean everything, pass a law that everyone understands that is not open to interpretation. PERIOD

Na, I shoot snakes to......Angry face was for trying to find 410 shells. I had to loan someone some so he could load his S&W Governor to carry around to shoot snakes in the yard and woods.

I'd have a 20 gauge break barrel pistol if that wasn't verboten......😊 for just such a occasion.
I misconstrued your emoji! I bought a case of Fiocchi 9 shot .410 shells a few years ago for $75. Just to shoot snakes. Would have preferred Winchester 2 1/2" #4 shot. Could have shot squirrels, also. I bought what they had. I've seen the Winchester at Academy (#4-2 1/2") $15.00 per box. Just a little pricey. I I Should reload for it.

Theirs just something about reaching into a nest box and seeing a big snake in there to make a guy really appreciate an anti snake device, of your own choosing of course.
The last 6" chicken snake in the feed room was hanging from 2 x4 and creosote posts around electrical wiring. Didn't have a gun. Had a carpet cutter. Was unable to use a hoe because of electrical wires. Use the carpet cutter. When I got finished my wife said it looked like I killed someone. Blood everywhere. I don't mess with chicken snakes as my Vet told me they have found to be breeding with rattle snakes making them poison. I leave a 22 with rat shot in it at the barn for future occasions with snakes and rats.

Doesn't the new 4473 have a place for rifle, pistol, frame/other to specify? I'm just asking. Haven't bought a gun in a long time. How about the Mossberg Shockwave? Not a considered a shotgun or AOW subject to tax stamp. How Mossberg worked around the shotgun barrel length and AOW tax stamp is amazing. Just wish it came in .410.

Yes you are correct.

The Mossberg and Remington are labeled as "Firearms", not shotguns and yes I would like a 410 version as well

Rattlesnakes will den up with other species of snakes, but I really wounder about the two unrelated species forming a hybrid. I am a biologist by training, but not a herpetologist. But still maybe a rattlesnake could breed with different species of rattlesnake or its more distant pit viper cousins the copper heads or water moccasins. A rat snake I would want to see the evidence that proves it.
But I think one should avoid being bitten by any snake.

Not sure if that vet is correct about cross breeding bull snakes and rattle snakes but....I'm still with you on killing them. I dont mess around with snakes either. Whats strange is I used to know a man who kept rattle snakes in wooden crates inside his house. NO FRIGGIN WAY IM LIVING ANYWHERE NEAR A SNAKE! Much less a viper of some kind!

It was common for him to keep these snakes around. He was a rattle snake hunter for hobby. He had numerous rattle snakes in that house. Imagine one escaping its box. Having no clue where the dang thing is. I couldnt rest until it was dead. Full blown declaration of war against that snake. Geez...A loose rattle snake inside my home would be a serious and honestly dangerous task. Id probably have to shoot the thing with bird shot and 410 shotgun. No way im picking it up or getting close to it. Those things can strike/leep as far as their length as I understand it.

Sorry for the hi-jack guys.

I knew someone that had a rattlesnake in his house in a cage(s). One day they did get out rather upsetting his wife. He did get rid of them.
I only kill the dangerous snakes if they are on my property but I do not go out looking for them off property.

Unfortunately that is not the way it works in real life. I know of judges taking progun laws and turning them on their. The Florida legislature was forced to write new laws to essentially over turn a judge's decision.
When us house and senate pass law, the agencies use it to write rulings that become CFRs.
The Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) is a codification of the general and permanent rules published in the Federal Register by the Executive departments and agencies of the Federal Government.. Title 21 of the CFR is reserved for rules of the Food and Drug Administration.
so when convicted the 'law' that you are convicted of is usually a ruling. The Penalty often comes from a separate set of documents.
