AR pistols and ATF: Warning over what sights can not be used on an AR pistol

To make it short. If you use an optical or other sight that has short eye relief on an AR or maybe any other pistol, you are in violation of the law. Most people do not know that. So even if the brace is gone the ATF can still charge you if they find in their opinion that your sights are fit only for shoulder firing.

Factoring Criteria for Firearms With
Attached ‘‘Stabilizing Braces’’
AGENCY: Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco,
Firearms, and Explosives, Department of
Justice.
ACTION: Final rule.
other factors, as
listed below, indicate that that the
weapon is designed, made, and
intended to be fired from the shoulder:

(i) whether the weapon has a weight
or length consistent with the weight or
length of similarly designed rifles;
(ii) whether the weapon has a length
of pull, measured from the center of the
trigger to the center of the shoulder
stock or other rearward accessory,
component or attachment (including an
adjustable or telescoping attachment
with the ability to lock into various
positions along a buffer tube, receiver
extension, or other attachment method),
that is consistent with similarly
designed rifles;
(iii) whether the weapon is equipped
with sights or a scope with eye relief
that require the weapon to be fired from
the shoulder in order to be used as

designed; ................................
Having no sights also seems to make it rifle like.

I decided to not show the youtube but put sufficient information to find it"

the ATF is actually trying to say or working on to include the old Broom handles that take detachable stocks , and P08's that take them will fall under the SBR ruling

Very interesting that they have lost repeatedly in courts, and have multiple injunctions against them at the moment, but continue to grasp at straws. Clearly they have no fear of losing big in the courts over this for some reason. Maybe it's because they'll just ignore the ruling, or maybe they really can't comprehend losing at all.

It all Joe Biden and the DEM party that is pushing this agenda.

All that said, what is legal is a basket of fog. Now we don't know if any sights on
a AR pistol are legal. Just as well direct any AR pistol with a barrel containing a bore
is a SBR.

Lot of folks just want to know the law but it seem too hard to find that answer.
The red dots sights seem to be good to go.
But joining FPC, GOA, and there is one more out there for getting injunctive relief gives one another layer of protection. As long as you do not show your gun on face book and the brace is removed, i doubt that anything will be happening. There are likely a lot of people that still have their braces on the gun.
Has anyone been arrested so far for just possession.

In my understanding of how these goons work, if you throw enough crap at a wall, some may stick..they dont care, have no honor or shame. But they do have an unlimited budget for litigation. Whereas groups opposing these nazis have limited resources, they will just steamroll, spend your tax $$$ to curtail the freedoms these repugnant tools took an oath to defend

Here ARs without brace or shoulder stock being used by criminals in North Carolina.
Other than the lack of sights it appears that the thugs are being ATF compliant since they are using the AR pistols as pistols with two handed extended gripping. No one appeared to be seriously injured. One of the barrels seems to be 16 inches, but should still be legal with an overall length of 26 inches plus.
Bullets appear to be fired from inside store shown in captured still of them blowing the glass into vapor or more likely a fume.

Jack: I'm sorry if what I've said about the 410 barrel is offensive (shooting snakes) I do apologize. They eat our chicken and duck eggs. Have bitten our live stock protection dogs. The guineas aren't able to do their job getting rid of really big snakes. And I do have a Winchester Model 41. 410 single shot 2 1/2" only, circa 1920 or so for that reason.

I still don't understand how closing a loophole to have a non-registered SBR is meltdown material.
Yeah, the ATF sucks and tends to overreach. Could have left pistol calibers alone etc. but a 7.62 NATO "pistol" is BS, and everyone knows it. Even 556 is obnoxious.
I still agree they are trying to fold up the second amendment but this particular ruling ain't it. It was a "work around" for an NFA clause, if we are being honest.
But in true ATF fashion they will squeeze it until they go beyond their own original scope.

you must be new to this , we are already fighting a stacked deck , so we are in a give a inch lose a mile situation , its imperative that every battle is a war , look how long it took to reverse the bump stock fiasco and i think bump stocks are ridiculous , its not just about what they are saying they are taking away , its the ramificarions each loss imposes on their future efforts , they will use it as a blueprint to tell you to mark the day of the week in your underwear if we let them
