I had stepped away from shooting for quite awhile, walked into a store 8 years ago one day and saw an M1A. A friend found a Scout for me up by where he lives! Went out to collect it, picked it up and I was in love!
I had always used iron sights, but with my eyes going south, I ended up with a Nikon 308 4-12x40 Scope. It was a great introduction to Glass. Upgraded the trigger, to a 4.5lb pull. Thanks to Ted Brown for that!
I decided to open up a business painting stocks but decided against having to deal with the whole FFL setup. I painted many for myself, and for friends over the years.
Added A Blackfeather. What a great chassis. Changed out the Scout Barrel to a 22 inch medium Lothar barrel as well. Thanks to Tony Ben for the great work on her!
I found the Mossberg not up to my liking, so changed out to an A2 Stock, and added a pistol grip. New Scope as well, A Vortex Venom 6.5-20x44.
The latest, and probably the last iteration. Changed out the A2 to an AR Butt Stock. Works better for the scope. Added a rail and a Foregrip as well (Thanks to my good neighbor!). Of all the guns I own, this is my favorite. I always return to it. I will probably pick up a Scout or a SOCOM, but this will remain my go to.
Thanks for checking it out!
