I am really unclear as to USPS still being a Gub'ment entity after the reorganization in 1970, it's kinda like a spoiled incorrigible redheaded stepchild no one wants to claim for how bad they SUCK! But every few years they get bailed out and their pension plan covered by taxpayers as they operate at deficits for decades.

"The modern United States Postal Service (USPS) was established by the Postal Reorganization Act (PRA) of 1970, which transformed the postal service from a cabinet-level agency to a self-funded, independent establishment in the executive branch."

Hopefully with all the shutdown business Trump's looking into it, do we really need a postal IG? Postal inspectors and the rest of that bureaucracy? I mean USPS sucks and is so incompetent, they lost my stuff half the time and never have an explanation or apology, customer service is a joke or nonexistent as they don't even respond to complaints..

Here in Flagstaff, AZ I've seen handguns in the Post Office....

Once was a local LEO in uniform with his service pistol, the other time a

local resident had his Open Carry pistol.

Both were standing in line.....No one batted an eye or seemed to care. 🇺🇲

A police station is way different than any of the others.

The young lady that I've kind of adopted likes that I carry. She feels safe any time she's with me. Sometimes she gets really close or grabs my arm if she's feeling stressed about where we are

I am okay with private citizens carrying in a Fire Department, hospital, and the post office. It is my opinion that a court house should have a place where concealed carry citizens should be able to store their firearms inside the building in a secure area. Leaving your firearm in a car it may get stolen.

I have stopped in the post numerous times while inadvertently carrying my handgun. Simply put, I so used to carrying that I forget I have it at times. I have been carrying since I entered the police department in 1958. It's like putting on my shoes when I go out of the house. Guess I am going to have to be more careful now. You can bet one of his fellow employees made a complaint.
