M14 EBR: THE MOST BEAUTIFUL BATTLE RIFLE IN THE WORLD

Interesting article. Surprised that this solider didn't mind the 18.5 lb weight with all the gear he had attached to his EBR-RI, esp carrying up hills and mountains in Afghanistan.

I would never call the EBR-RI 'beautiful', as its far more 'utilitarian' than anything else. As noted previously, I prefer the aesthetics of wood stocks on the M14, but I did decide to build a replica of the US Army EBR-RI, just need to get all the parts zinc-parkerized and then mount the barrel. (Mine will not be a 100% correct as it will use a 1/11 twist medium weight Criterion barrel, and an early "Pat Pending" SAGE chassis, bit otherwise it will be configured like the original EBR-RIs built from 2009-2011). Last part I need is the SAGE vertical foregrip, which I ordered many months ago...
