Yeah. I always thought they were kind of goofy looking until I saw how ‘bull’ the barrels on them are. It seemed a more purposeful upgrade to the basics of the M16s. I think they are like a full inch in diameter, but can’t replace easily. Shoot though just have an extra upper for that I guess. I can see why the M249 fit in better . But for a while I was wondering why these didn’t catch on. The owner was telling me the Dutch used these at some point.
I initially saw the collection back in March and it was about this long for me to reach out. The guy was already planning to come out to the Saturday shoot. He brought this per my request and an early 601 with a rare bolt catch in it. I’ll share that soon too. Cool thing is he lives just 15mins from me. So I’ll get to see all the other stuff he has.
