it is illegal to use bear spray on humans because bear spray is classified as a pesticide and is approved by the EPA for deterring bears, not people.

***edit**Bear spray is not a pesticide ... no matter what unelected epa azzes say. The same epa say's my property is now a wetland because it has palmetto and black gum on it.

I would think bear spray is probably better than farting, but still would prefer a firearm of any kind to stop a charging bear.

People mace usually shoots as a stream, allowing you hit the assailant in the face and eyes.

Bear mace comes out like a pepper fogger, in order to hit a charging animal. Since it is an area dispense, it needs to be stronger.

so lead poisoning ok , pesky pesticides bad , i was just wanting it in case i get a road rager that doesnt meet the criteria of a mag dump wanting me to roll down the window , then me obliging and give him a face full of bear mace and then video tape it so we can all have a laugh watching him flailing on the ground at a stop light , because i would have to share that especially if he has purple hair

 

Regardless of bear spray or pepper spray, be careful keeping it in your vehicle during the super hot sunny daze of summer or you may have a real big issue. Also make sure the kids can’t get to it in a vehicle. Some have gone off in cars and it isn’t easy to get it out of the nooks, crannies and upholstery. Cheapo cans!!

In reality, when it comes to defending yourself, your loved ones or even an innocent stranger, who cares what you use. I’d use a chain saw or a ball peen hammer if that’s what I had. I don’t give a damn what the law says.

 

i keep seeing these videos on YT with these nutjobs coming unhinged on others for some make believe slight or infraction they feel was cast upon them where they get out and start beating on someones window , so with the absence of a firearm on their part there is no clear cut case for even brandishing a firearm so that is what led me to Bear mace , a face full of that would take the giddy up right out of just about any nutjob , thats what led me to the legality of bear mace
