Now it's finished. Got a connector arm, a GI stock, and one of the dummy buttons from Bandanabandit1. About 10 minutes of filing on the connector, the popsicle stick fix and a little fitting on the stock to get the trigger group in and voila! The way she's supposed to look.

Now after having (I think) fixed the new oprod and spring guide problem from last week time for a range trip to make sure it all doesn't fall apart. 😆

That is a good question but it is also solid and set up for a scope mount and not really a stripper clip.

I'll try and post pix tonight but basically a Polytech connector lock pin is a little bit shorter than a USGI or an M1A equivalent. In a USGI stock the pin will walk out far enough that the op rod spring guide can pop out. This will allow the op rod guide to push back into the magazine via its spring pressure. No real harm other than locking up the mechanism.

To fix that from happening you simply put a little more wood (or any other thin spacer but a popsicle stick is easiest) in the critical place to keep the connector lock from walking out. Cut a popsicle stick to the right size, glue it into the stock to hold the connector lock in place, and if you want stain or color it. I used some colored Varathane furniture repair markers.
