Switched optics, and will be shooting the first match accurized m14 I had built. Carl Leisinger built this from a fulton m21 receiver. TRW op rod, bolt, trigger group with shooting sight trigger and hammer. Heavy barnett/douglas 1:10 chromoly barrel that was new when the rifle was made. It has about 750 down the tube now. This rifle has always been a shooter, but it'll be fun to see what it can do now that I have a little bit more experience than when I first got it.

I have a Douglas Barrel on my M21, it is impressively accurate.

Enjoy yours ! And that is a Grand looking rifle.

Your rifles are always amazing. You have awesome taste, young man. This is super cool because youre a younger man compared to many of us here. Most young men like modern rifles. Not Anthony, he likes custom M14 rifles. When I say custom, i mean custom, top notch, Grade A type stuff. Lots of money sunk into the beast making it a work of art. NIce rifle APD as always.

EDIT: I have to confess, this is now my favorite rifle youve shared with us. I liked "woody" most of all but now this new camo rig is top dog.

My 2nd MIA build I used a Douglas Medium Weight barrel from Fulton or Brownells I forget where exactly, probably Brownells where I purchased the throat cutter. It shot great back in the mid nineties and has not been fired since my gun collecting nephew bought it 27 years ago. The added weight is why next builds reverted to using USGI barrels stamped NM. The Douglas build had a modified drop and pull E2 stock with a Pachmayr recoil pad. The second modified E2 stock build had a Mimosa leaf camo stock and vented handguard and a cheek-eze, its last known address is in MS. My violin maker label is under the recoil pad on both builds. Do not make the mistakes I did and part with yours.

I assume youre using factory 168 grn FGMM? One pic had a couple boxes of it seen in photo.

Also one more observation. I noticed your HG is painted to match its McMillan camo stock. Can you tell us a little more about the HG and what you did there? I really like how perfect that matches.
