among other things, i have a little USGI MBR collection, to whit:
model 1861 springfield (euroarms repro)
model 1873 springfield trapdoor
model 1892 krag-jorgenson
missing the 1903, but for some reason the 03 doesn't call to me.
m1917 winchester, chromed, late 1918
m1 garand, SA, 42, blue sky reimport
polytech m-14s
ar15 (sort of a repro, i guess)
all good fun shooters.

Welcome in from SoCal! Nice collection.
m14brian
yes, thanks.
it started with the 1861 and then the garand 20 years ago and it just grew and grew. had a vz24 and a mosin for a while, but now they live with people who will love them better than i did. now that i have a 14, i might be done collecting, but i can still shoot them!

there's a group picture in the works. it's a little difficult because there are so many.

does this "your post must be approved" thing ever end? "read this first"

yes, i'll get on that right away.

and again, i'd like to thank all of you for the warm welcome. i didn't plan to do more than just add my numbers to the polytech serial number thread. but i see there's an interesting community here, so i'll hang out for a while, shoot the bull.
