Nothing under trap ,I'd rather not remove buttplate as it is pristine SA stocks are rarely marked under butt. This is the real deal,and if not for the dings I'd be asking $300 plus The silvery spots on butt is dry preservative

There is no question that is a genuine S.A. stock, only S.A. put the serial # in the barrel channel. Had that discussion with a member here who never heard of it, I have several like that!

Very nice stock by the way.

The s/n in the barrel channel is for an SA M14 rifle, fourth order in 1962 (s/n 516472 thru 565496). HTH.
