I just finished watching Windtalkers and the Gunny used a Trench Shotgun, I think. Looked pretty awesome in the movie!!!

This movie had tons of M1 Garands, BAR's, and Thompson's.... too bad the M14 didn't debut yet!!!

Tom, the Gunny's trench gun was a Winchester M1897, they were used in both WWI and WWII. The weapon held 5 rounds in the mag and would also accept the M1917 Enfield bayonet on the lug mounted under the barrel.

I usually contain my time to M1 Garands and M1A1 carbines and WWII airborne stuff, but now Hawk has got me building a Rem M870 Mk1 shotgun like he's doing, amoung other projects.

When I was an LEO I used to chase the bad guys into the "projects" ... :roll:

OH! 8O Them kinda projects ... I get it now ... :lol:

Tom, you and Six should ask Hawk what he did with the perfect Rem 12 ga barrel I sent him for his 870 he is building. I'm wondering if they sell tape measures in NY, we got them in Texas. :lol:

these things are more fun than a barrel of monkeys. i shoot in a pit with owners permission of course that a lot of construction companies use for dump site. if remodeling somewhere, they will dump doors out by the dozens. i line these things up and proceed to blast away. ishoot 00 buck in both my 97 and my ithaca and it fun to blow all those holes in the doors. the splinters areflying. highly recommend anyone get one of these and blaze. these are my stress relievers. try to locate the genuine military as you dont have to release the trigger everytime the slide goes home. you can shoot almost as fast as an auto shotgun. try it you will like it.
