I tried out my recent purchase at the indoor range today. The rifle was in great functioning condition. That "bad man" outlined in the target really got his comeuppance!

It was a bargain because somebody incompetently screwed a rubber butt pad on it and slightly cracked the stock with a screw. That means it will never be a collector piece, but it sure can make some noise!

I have repaired lots of old stocks.
Dig out any torn wood in the crack that would prevent the crack from being clamped up tight.
Mix up some clear two part epoxy.
Open up the crack with a screwdriver and drip in the epoxy.
Wipe off excess and clamp gently for a few hours.
After epoxy hardens lightly sand off any excess with 320.
The epoxy will look like a thin dark line, sometimes not even noticeable.
Do NOT use wood glues, only clear epoxy
