Hello everyone. I just bought an M1A at a gun show last weekend. I've always wanted one and this just caught my eye. I'm embarrassed to say, I don't really even know what I bought! Can you tell me how I can determine if it's a plain vanilla rifle, a "loaded" rifle, etc? I just want something to take to the farm and shoot. The price tag said the MSRP was $1739, and I paid $1500 for it. Is there anyway to determine, via the MSRP or the serial number, what kind of upgrades (if any) if may have? Thank you in advance! Get in touch with Springfield Armory and give them the serial number. They should be able to tell you how it left the factory. Did it come with the box? The box should have a model number.
