Wonder what type of sillhouettes you guys use for man sized targets at extended ranges (300+ yards) I know my standard 100 yard bull is way too small for those ranges, and besides, I'd rather try my skills firing at a man-sized target like the military. I found the following site, but they have so many choices, that it is hard to choose. Which do you think would work best?

I like the look of these ones,

Here is another section on the sight with something that looks interesting.

PLASTIC E Target military style "waffle" target/bobber. Fits in military turning target systems. Semi-self sealing plastic with a life span of up to 5000 rounds. Olive green.
Size: 19.5" x 40"
$8 each

I wonder if it could really take anywhere near 1000 rounds, even, of .308?

What do you guys think?

I'd say the bottom target in the left row would be what I would want because it has the head and chest separated (not connected by a light color) but in a different color than black so that you could aim for them.

I wouldn't want an all black one because it would be too hard to aim precisely.

Which target?

Hi Blain,
I use standard B27 police silhouette targets for everything. However, the military E target I would use in conjunction with the B27's. Isn't experimentation fun :arm12: Good Luck in your quest!

Just a thought...I would be either aiming for center mass, or if there were time, a head shot. I would think a solid color would be better for traing, since the BG's may not show much contrast (except for the blue helmets).I guess I am trying to say that the harder we train, the better the outcome in an actual scenario.
