I recently purchased a scout squad and the seller told me it has the National Match trigger modification from Fulton Armory.

He attached a picture of the receipt and parts.

Can anyone tell me a little more about this? What did they do? Or what are the parts?

See the Fulton web site -

It seems that the mod is a typical 'full trigger job' using standard parts and lots of 'hand fitting'. Probably the trigger parts are assembled in a good trigger housing or 'jig', and then tuned.

I would expect a good tuned trigger to break at about 4.75 pounds, have just a tiny amount of 2nd stage creep, and 'feel' and break consistently for each shot.

When shooting, consciously HOLD the trigger fully rearward until recoil is complete for each shot. Otherwise, 'doubles' or 'bump firing' can happen if the trigger finger 'bounces around' and hits the trigger on recoil.

NM trigger adjustment involves a certain amount of polishing, and honing various parts. The object is to eliminate creep in the second stage and set up hammer release at a little over 4.5 pounds of pull. It feels lighter because a good amount of the weight of pull is in the first stage and all concentration is on the second stage. I'd have issues with a kit like Fulton's because it doesn't allow for variations in trigger housing geometry found in commercial housings. Hammer springs also play an important part in overall weight of pull.

Trigger on my LRB M14SA NM from the source was a good one but upon disassembling and installing Tubbs springs it is one of the best M14 triggers I have used and yet breaks at just over 4.5lbs. Only slightest polishing done to compliment the spring kit and easy to accomplish with little expense. Works for me.
