On the Badger op rod spring guide, what does fluted mean?

Is the Badger totally round or is it roundish but flat sided?

Is it marked?

I received my FA order, they told me that they didn't sell the Badger anymore, but the op rod spring guide I got might be the Badger.

They charged me the Badger price.

Fluted means that there are scallops cut axially to reduce the weight--like you'd see on the cylinder of a revolver. I think the Badger one doesn't have scallops, but flats that run down the length of the guide. The one's I've seen in pics had "badger" markings on them.
