I was told this was a USGI NM M1 rear sight

Is the elevation drum marked in yards?


Edit: Nevermind. My eyes were deceiving me. Can you get some pics of the base and drums from the side?

The hooded aperture is. Is the sight base marked? The elevation knob is standard M1 Garand.

The windage knob is not marked NM,, is the base marked anything on the right ear?
If that windage knob screws into that base, then the base is not a NM one.An NM base and NM windage knob have fine threads.
Only NM part I see is the aperture.
The elevation pinion is made by New Haven Clock. They made both M1 and M14 pinions. Does it have an M on it?

Elevation knob New Have Clock
Cant tell from the picture if the aperture is USGI or commercial

No it was advertised as a M1 sight with NM aperture. I asked if it had USGI parts seems fine
