I won't buy Pakistani steel cased 7.62x51mm surplus ammunition again.

I was at a vintage rifle match, shooting offhand next to a guy who was shooting a 1903 Springfield. He was shooting surplus Turkish 30-06 and the cartridge case ruptured. He said he got blasted in the face with gas. The crack in the case ran from the case rim to about halfway toward the case mouth. Another guy at the match said he read about a few instances where M1 Garands detonated while shooting Turkish 30-06.

I will not under any circumstances shoot surplus Turkish 30-06.

A couple of years ago, I bought some bulk Malaysian 7.65 NATO rounds. Never again will I do that again. I think that it was probably designed for use with an M60. But in my rifle, it did not perform well. The accuracy was mediocre at best.

Malaysian FMJ was surprisingly accurate at 300 yards when fired out of my RRA LAR-8.
