I used a 3-15 on a bolt rifle don't see why it wouldn't work on an M1A. Wouldn't get the 4-20 though, the eyebox was a bit tight, also the weaver is HEAVY 2lbs easy.

Make sure to get the mil-mil version with enhanced mil dot.

Also, if you are spending 700ish to scope an M1A right now...I would get the new vortex 2.5-10x32 FFP over the weaver. Its small, light, and has great features. Check it out at Libertyoptics.com in their 'new products' section.

lol weaver tactical are not chinese.

like leupold weaver does have some cheap scopes.

the weaver tactical are very good, like very very good. They cost about 899.99 and are on par with other japanese scopes like the night force.

The main difference between the NF and my weaver tactical is the reticle. It sure is nice to get a moa/moa or mil/mil scope.

buy it and don't look back.

listening to misinformed newbie posters won't get you far.

the razor is a good scope.

you will find the glass quality on the viper to be quite a notch below the japanese weavers.

vortex customer service is FANTASTIC! though.
