after 20 + yers in the U.S.M.C you run into things you dont .
let go .a few i still have (nothing that go's BOOM).a few go bang!

set to be got rid of . but i saved are 2. walnut M14E2 stocks.
with all the goodys on them still in the cloth/foil sock thay came in.

i have put one on a preban NM springfield. and ARMS mt. with a milldot.
this is my M21..lol


did you see alot of the M14E2'S in walnut?
my cost was $25.00 ea (it was more of a bribe)
AND THAY HAVE NEVER BEEN ON A GUN TILL I PUT ONE IN THIS ONE.. :wink:

thay are nice looking and still new no hand gards with them when i got them..

did you see alot of the M14E2'S in walnut?

Not many. According to our member Different walnut E2 stocks were produced at Anniston, Rock Island, and SA.

I have a Springfield Armory which I suspect is the earliest one.

how do i tell who made it ?.

what and what spot to loo at for any marks.

with all the but plate and forgrips.

i dont see any marks on the out side.

and yes looks like your photo. just a bit more of a matt finish is all

BIG DUKE 60, there should be some markings under the rubber butt pad and butt plate hinge. Using a thin flat tip screw driver and inserting it deep into the rubber between the circular plug and the butt pad you can pry the circular plugs out. From there remove the screws and pull off the metal and rubber to get to the wood underneath. HTH

i use a deck screw with a sharp point on it and just atart it into the plug. and slid them out.

the bottom screw i put a dab of the blue lock tight on the stop it from
getting loos evry 4 of 5 times of shooting it (ity bity tab)
so ill have to se it it unscrews easy. to take a look.

my old high school we had over 200 m14's as drill rifles (Basic High)
in Henderson.

BIG DUKE 60, understand on the stock hardware. We live about three miles from the Kyle Canyon entrance to Mt. Charleston (far northwest side of town). I visit Basic High School every two years as part of my job. Does Basic High School have a MCJROTC or NJROTC program?

it did have the U.S.M.C. .J.R.O.T.C..
my years of high school 77/81 .
the last time i was there to see. TOP Swank and COL Ott.
was 1989. so i dont know if thay still have it.

all them M14's (demills) but all the parts WOW!
pluged bbl
bbl welded to recvr
bolt had firing pin removed and front pin hole welded up.
thats all.
top let me swap some parts off of some with the beat up ones i had. at the time.

im up in WA state now.
