Just a couple pics of the Vietnamese locals at Lai Khe, 1967. Nothing to get excited about.

Little girl at Lai Khe. View looking down 'main street'.

Helpers at the 1st ID, 3rd Bde, Head & Head Shed mess hall, Lai Khe. As you can imagine, that was rat city.

It helps to remember how warm (hot) it was there now that it's cold here in Michigan.

RE: How hot it was

Man, the one thing I remember the most was the heat. I thought summer in VA was bad! All though right now I could stand just a little of that heat LOL

Got that right Paliden. I remember after days on end of 100 degree weather, when it went down to 70 degrees one night I thought I was going to freeze to death.

There's a memory. Two blankets, a real cot, dressed and teeth chattering. It got down to 67 degrees. Dong Ba Thin, 1969.
