This will be fired fromt he 200yd line, and pits will be used. If you have never pulled pits before, more experienced shooters will be present to instruct you.

Course of fire is
15 minutes to fire 5 sighters and 10 shots for record from the prone position, single load, slings may be used for support
80 seconds to fire 10 shots for record with a mandatory reload from standing to prone, slings may be used for support
10 minutes to fire 10 shots for record from the offhand postition, single load, no support may be used.

This is a very fun course of fire, it takes an average of 1hr per relay to shoot.
IN addition, if we have enough people interested, we may allow re entries after the first match is over if you wish to fire two different rifles, this decision will be made on the day of the match.

Spare equipment such as spotting scopes and shooting mats will be availible for use as well.
In addition you must have a way to rapidly releoad your rifle using either a magazine or stripper clip.

That's why we don't get hot at perry, lol. We should be done with the first series of shooters by noon, before it gets too hot.

August? Louisiana? Shirley you jest.
We usully have a match every month except August and that's just because of the Camp Perry schedule. I'll be there for the match unless I have to work an Apple seed event.

If you don't go outside because it's hot in Louisiana you won't get out much. GI6 We have a covered 600yd firing point so you're out of the sun for when it really starts getting hot.

Ill make an exception to the rule, if you want to shoot with a trapdoor or any other single shot rifle, Ill give you two minutes for rapid fire.
BTW that video is Issac Mckaskil, the armorer who built my double lugged gun. I believe he is double distinguished, and a hell of a nice guy.

Issac shot with our M14 NTT team this year... He and Gunny Boyd did an outstanding job with the Big Guns. Issac and Gunny both are a wealth of knowledge.

I got a trapdoor but I take enough ribbing from you guys when I show up with the M14 at a match. GI6 I know it's all good natured fun and the reason is because my scores are better with the Black rifle and you guys want to see me shoot better scores... but it's much more damn fun shooting the big gun. GI6

I've just about decided on my old school TRW M1A build for the vintage match.
