USGI NM M14 Rear Sights?

I have a question about USGI NM M14 Rear Sights....do they all have hooded rear sights or are some of them not hooded? I have a rear sight aperature that is marked NM but no hood....just curious if I am missing something? Thanks!

The aperture you have preceeded the hooded 1/2 minute version. It too was available in .595 and .520, just like the hooded apertures.
