Is there anything to worry about when installing a used GI bolt? Such as heat treatment, or previously lapped lugs, or anything else, or are these generally safe.

The bolt is in good used condition that I am getting.

The TRW bolt in my Scout was slightly used when I purchased it.
Just make sure it's headspaced to GI specifications and you should be good to go 8)

You should check all used bolts for cracks and serious wear problems.
Most will be O.K. but, I've had a couple that were cracked around the ejector hole. It was a TRW bolt.
