Looks like Port Hueneme?.....hills are too high for Corona...; )

GREAT PICS by the way.....BRAVO ZULU to the shutter pusher!

Well I'm blind......opened up the pics to show a bud and there it says they were at Pendleton....my six needs laser surgery......did remind me of Hueneme though....but does look like Edson Range landscape a bit...

Several observations...

Police and Fire can afford very nice rifles.
It's interesting to see sniper rifles fired offhand - gotta be tough.
Also interesting, pic 37 shooter's position. Ejection must be tough with the hand over the ejection port. He looks like he's in the prep stage.

It's great these are being held in the San Diego area.

A couple of the police snipers were practicing for the sniper challenge held the following day, which included unsupported positions at 200yd, stress shots(run, load fire under 10 seconds) Movers at 2,3,500yds. A few firefighters participated in that match and did fairly well.

Event was held at range 116A, Naval Special Warfare training school. The school has an extensive shoot house, a huge cargo ship superstructure and other great training props for the Navy Seals and their SWIC (?) boat crews.

Guy taking pics was a friend of a competitor. He must have taken 3,000 pics.
