Well here she is again.

Got my parts kit in the mail today and
now she's all H&R except the Barrel, Bolt body and Receiver.

Also posted pics of my range gear. GI1

I have not shot her with the gas mask on yet,
but will try it next time I'm out.

I've got five more BRW s-1 mags in the pouches,
so I just need one more and I'll be set.
Personally, all the new nylon and velcro stuff just doesn't fit with a rifle built from wood and steel.
Anyway, if it worked for our guys in Viet Nam,
I think it should do just fine up here in Michigan.

FYI - If you are emulating a Marine ..., the Corps did not issue the army M1956 Universal Small Arms Ammunition Pouch or the M1956 suspenders. Nor did it issue the army M1956/M1961 "butt" pack.

Nice equipment and pics. Add a couple battlepacks and you'll be ready!

True, but what Marine worth his salt didn't steal that stuff from the Army!

For my "crash call" load out I cut a few of the treads on my flak jacket around the bottom and slipped the keepers of my M16 pouches on, put on a couple canteen's and the old .45 holster with the wire loops. Just grabbed the flak jacket and helmet and was ready to go.
