I purchased 200 rounds of Tulammo 357 magnum for my Ruger Blackhawk at $13 per box. Some of the cartridges are sticking in the cylinder to the point where I have to remove it and tap the casings out with a dowel rod. Is this normal? Also will the bi-metal bullets damage my barrel?

( I will never make this mistake again)

I have had bad luck with Tula also, failure to eject own both my 1911s which never hiccup with quality brass ammo and good magazines. As long as the bullets are copper jacketed I wouldn't worry about the barrel. I'm assuming this is steel case ammo that is dark greenish color with varnish on it? I learned my lesson as well.

Steel in a .357? It's a high pressure cartridge Not a good Idea.
Steel does not expand and retract like brass but we know that now.

After you shoot them all off that will be the end of it.

Tulammo is not the "best" steel ammo on the market but it works OK in 7.62X39 and 7.62X54 because Guns in these calibers were designed for Steel.

I have gone thru thousands of rounds of steel cased ammo in my SKS but never use it in my semi auto handguns. I figured that there would not be any problems in a revolver but obviously was wrong. I shoot about a thousand rounds a month and wanted to save money but NO MORE STEEL CASED HANDGUN AMMO FOR ME.

Straight walled Cartridges (USA) NO!
Taper walled Soviet Rifle Cartridges YES!

I shot 80 rounds just this AM out of a Soviet chambered (Ruger Mini-30) and it as usual worked fine.

Have you been shooting a lot of 38 special's in it? they can leave a carbon ring in the chambers that can make shooting magnums a problem, especially if you were shooting cast bullets, they can leave a lead ring at the case mouth that the longer mag case hits.
