I was at my local club a few days ago making sure my shotgun was still sighted in for hunting season and a fellow club member was there shooting his supermatch. I noticed he had a trigger shoe on the rifle and I asked him about it. He said it relly helps in "feeling" the first stage of the trigger. He could tell by my look that I was a little skeptical so he let me fire the rifle a few rounds with the shoe on and then took it off and I fired a few more. I was surprised as it did make the first stage a little more distinguishable with the shoe on. Has anyone else tried this or have one on their rifle?

Is this something like what you are talking about?

If you are still using the Rader trigger group in your rifle check out the thread below for Dale Rader's responses to my questions about feeling the second stage on one of his TGs. You can do what he says by using an appropriately sized steel shot BB to use as the ball bearing.

Hope this helps. BTW really enjoying the TG you sold me.

Cheers

trigger shoe's have a place, and that is on a dedicated target rifle. having them on anything else adds an element of danger to the mix, those shoe's have been known to get caught on things and discharge firearms unintentionally.
