Although in our semi automatic rifles both trigger assemblies are interchangeable, those who have full auto rifles, like the military, had to have the proper trigger assembly installed. Here is something from PS Magazine, a factual comic book which helped keep everybody educated.

When did this booklet come into existance? If I remember correctly, you showed me this booklet and a few others at the Middletown show and that it was a series of booklets. Am I right on this or is my memory about where my eyes are?

The pamphlet came into existence in Jun 1951, first issue. The first year publication was a little sporatic, but by 1953 it was on a once a month schedule. It was available to all branches, free of charge, all you had to do was sign up for it. In your marine units I am sure the company armorer, supply sargent, orderly room, and battalion motor pool got copies, and if your battalion had a commo platoon and message center, they got some too. That also go for the artillery batteries, armor units, and every mission, the publicaton was widespread. The idea was to read them and hand them out to others. The publication covered everything from commo, artillery, armor, but the main emphasis was VEHICLES, with some small arms thown in. It is still available today, anybody can subscribe to it, but it covers today's equipment with heavy emphasis on field computers, missles, and high tech stuff.
