Yeah. I cant wait to get it back. I want to use this one for the CMP Garand match.I’m sure it’ll turn out great. Tony swapped a barrel for me a few years ago. He does great work!
The 7.62 caliber will put you in the “unlimited” category.Yeah. I cant wait to get it back. I want to use this one for the CMP Garand match.
True, but in the grand scheme of things it's not really going to impact the shooter in that their scores will be against other "match modified" rifles that might score higher. Still gets to play and participate with all the other kids on the block. The 7.62 caliber will put you in the “unlimited” category.
I'm not worried about competing with it as unlimited. I'll still have fun. I do still have a good .30-06 version that measures 1 muzzle and 1 throat if the difference of unlimited vs as issue is too much to ignore, after trying. The 7.62 caliber will put you in the “unlimited” category.
All valid, however, some do not realize that the 7.62 conversion bumps the rifle and competitor into the "unlimited" category. I didn't want him to be surprised by it when he showed up at a match is all, just an FYI.True, but in the grand scheme of things it's not really going to impact the shooter in that their scores will be against other "match modified" rifles that might score higher. Still gets to play and participate with all the other kids on the block.
I'll try and tighten it up a bit on my end.Rifle shot flawlessly today. Accuracy is about what I'd expect from your standard M1 with no accuracy mods.

A Garand runs an 8-rd clip. Only seeing 5-holes in that target.Rifle shot flawlessly today. Accuracy is about what I'd expect from your standard M1 with no accuracy mods.
