Found these three stocks on GB. I never knew there were tiger striped walnut stocks. But here is the listing with the second one being a Birch tiger stripe & WOW it's beautiful. Wish I had the money to spend on it!

That second one would go wonderfully with my IHC Garand. However, way too pricey for my blood right now.

I love those Tiger stripes!I've had them on some of My M1's,but ended up selling most off because it is HARD to match the handguards!
Don't try Prince. Go for that two tone look. USNA

I knew I should have never traded my TS to charlene32.
well, that stock you traded me was more of a figured birch that had some subtle marks in the right sunlight. it was nice, but not what i would call a tiger stripe or mottled stripe.

LAW483 Enterprises
does custom M1 and M14 stocks and right now they are doing a tiger birch handguard to match one of my stocks.

some updated pics of my custom handguard (work in progress):

the stock is an original 50+yr old GI........i'd say they matched the new handguard pretty dang well.

less pricey than an E2 stock, and more rare IMO. i run across twenty E2 stocks for every serviceable tiger birch with prominent striping that i see. tiger stripes are a freak of nature and the few that have survived seem to be under lock and key.

Beautiful. That's something to hang on a wall and look at. I know we are supposed to shoot the guns, but those are too pretty in my opinion.

Tiger Stripes

Hate to say so, but the first 2 walnut stocks are not tiger striped.

When the stocks are manufactured they are cut on a profiling machine
that cuts the stock profile off of a master template. The stock is rotated
on lathe and the profiler blade cuts the stock to shape. It is not a smooth
cut. Notice that the cuts are about a 1/4" apart, thus the striped look.
The stock is then sanded to remove the cut marks. The stocks shown have
not been sanded adequately. The underlying grain is very straight.

The 3rd stock shown is indeed a tiger stripe pattern.
