I used to work at the end of the runway at Kaneohe Bay HI and our building used to shake from the F-4's taking off. The ones we really hated were the F-16's though.

I would imagine the sonic booms would be annoying after a while. Maybe you get used to it after a while though I don't know.

I live about 30 miles from Hill Air Force Base. We love the sound of "freedom". Lately, the F35s have been also doing night maneuvers. If you think an F16 is loud try the F35. Thanks for the pics. I especially loved the pics of the Dauntless.

Two turbo fans are better than one?

All I can say is when they hit the gas you can hear it from Mexico to Canada. They move so quick across the sky they are past you before you hear anything. I would never want to have an argument with an F35 driver.
