Hey guys,

I plan to start loading for my M1D in 30-06 and for an M14 clone in 7.62 NATO that I will soon have... GI1

I am looking for a plinking/target load that is not intended for serious long range shooting but is accurate and affordable.

I have heard that Nosler Competition Custom bullets are good and I found 1000 for 230 shipped. Any thoughts on this deal? Can I expect good results in both of my rifles (M1D and M14). If so, I will spring for it.

Thanks a lot guys!

That's a fair price. 155s?

They are actually 168gn Nosler CCs, not 155s.

I generally shoot 100-200 yards. If you guys think I should go with a cheaper bullet, I'm open to suggestions. My only restriction is that they must be in stock because I'm itching to shoot my M14!!

155CComp is a good bullet and you will be hard pressed to out shoot it in an m1a or garand. If money is an issue you could probably find some 147gr FMJ bullets for say 180 per 1000 but they won't shoot quite as consistently.
