Assuming you mean the 1957 film, probably quite a few people who watched it on VHS or DVD as a kid, I bet. Hell, pretty sure it's on Disney+.

I was angry, and didn't understand why they couldn't take him to the vet. Of course, I was 5 at the time...

It is one of my favorite movies - Old Yeller. And my kids loved that movie along w/ Davy Crockett.

When I was in 8th grade I was on the set of Old Yeller at the Walt Disney Studios. Class field trip. I also recall returning from a sailing trip to Catalina and Fess Parker helped tie up the boat in Newport Beach. I think I was 12 and it was cool to meet Davy Crocket! That was back when California was a pretty good place to live. At least for a kid.
