Many years ago I found an individual walking around at a gun show with an M1D. I think I paid him around $800 for it. Over time I was able to do some research and found it was not a genuine M1D since it did not have the correct SA M1D barrel. Instead it was an IHC Garand with its original LMR barrel turned to accept the M1D scope mount block. So I have an IHC Garand with the Mk 84 scope, scope mount, prong flash hider, and leather cheek piece. Metal is all in great condition. Lovin' my IHC faux M1D.

I got one late last year. The M-1D was in the DCM box with all accessories still in their sealed wrappers. I have all of the DCM paperwork with it:
