I received a private message at BR.com yesterday from a Navy Seabee stationed at Camp Anaconda in Iraq. He said he talked to a soldier who was carrying an issued bone stock USGI Winchester M14. There was no scope from the description and it was wearing a plain jane USGI synthetic stock. The soldier said him and his buddy had been issued M14 (M Fourteen) rifles instead of the "mouse gun." His words, not mine. 8)
