unfourently building a 416 is extremely expensive and getting one to run smoothly with a supressor is a huge pain in the butt. you need a vented gas block for it to run with a can, and even then youll need a 7 oz buffer weight or heavier for it to eject properly. super cool rifle, but tempermental.

I have one. It works great. However, it isn't $2000 better than a Colt M4. The rifle (HK 416) was intended for use with a 10.5 inch barrel, because the DI guns (Colt) didn't have enough push to cycle reliably with a very short (10 inch) barrel. Accuracy for an MR556A1 would be on par with a Colt 6940 (free float barrel) IMHO.

the hk416 has a very accurate barrel, but you can easily get the same accuracy out of a high grade ar barrel. the short stroke system is nice but nowadays a 10 inch ar15 is reliable as hell. really hard to justify a 416 when a mk18 does the same thing for a quater of the cost, and 2/3rd of the weight. it is a cool peice of military kit though
